Born and raised in Northbrook, IL, George received his education in jazz studies from The University of Illinois at Chicago. While attending UIC, he had the privilege of performing with Grammy-Award winning drummer Jared Schonig, Jeremy Pelt, Marques Carroll, and many others. He studied with Chris Madsen and Jon Irabagon at UIC.

George currently leads his own jazz duo, trio, and quartet depending on the size of the event. He also co-leads a Jovian Moon, a jazz fusion band.

In addition to performing, George also teaches. He is currently obtaining a Master’s of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music.
